Di Donato named NASPA-FL state director

May 12, 2017

Ana Di Donato, associate vice president for student success at Saint Leo University, has been named director of the Florida chapter of the National Association of Student Personnel Administrators (NASPA), the leading association for student affairs professionals.

Di Donato succeeds Eric Arneson, assistant vice president for student affairs at Florida International University, who has served in the state director role for over three years. Arneson begins his new role as vice chancellor of student affairs and campus climate at the University of Wisconsin Green Bay this summer. “On behalf of NASPA-FL, I would like to wish Eric the best of luck and thank him for his leadership, commitment, and seven years of service to the executive board,” said Di Donato. “He will be missed.”

Having served on the NASPA-FL executive board for the past seven years in various roles including conference & symposium chair for logistics, small colleges & universities chair, and most recently as conference coordinator, Di Donato is humbled and honored to serve as the state director. She has been an active member of NASPA since 2001.

In her role as state director, Di Donato plans to work on identifying and creating involvement opportunities for current members as well as establishing a strategic plan for the Florida chapter’s future growth and development. “NASPA-FL has become my family and support network on my professional journey,” said Di Donato. “I look forward to continuing to serve an association which holds such a special place in my heart.”

Di Donato holds a bachelor of arts in English literature from Saint Leo University, a master of education in college student affairs from the University of South Florida, a master of business administration from Saint Leo University, and is pursuing a doctorate of leadership in educational administration from the University of Florida.
